AnyScan is a free QR code and barcode generator that runs entirely in your browser. There is no account, no watermark and no upload — the codes are built on your device, so whatever you encode stays there.

- Supported inputs
- Text, URLs, email addresses, phone numbers, Wi-Fi details, product identifiers, lists, spreadsheet columns, numbered sequences, and images containing existing codes.
- QR code inputs
- Plain text, links and Wi-Fi network credentials — WPA/WPA2, WPA3 (SAE), WEP or open, including hidden networks.
- QR code capacity
- For byte-mode data, up to 2,953 bytes at error-correction level L or 2,331 bytes at level M. Unicode characters may use more than one byte. Error correction is selectable: L, M, Q or H.
- Barcode formats
- Code 128, Code 39, EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A and ITF.
- Check digits
- EAN-13, EAN-8 and UPC-A check digits are calculated for you from a 12-, 7- or 11-digit number, and verified when you supply the full code.
- Appearance
- Foreground and background colours, quiet zone from none to 8 modules, bar width and bar height are all adjustable.
- What “Verified scannable” means
- AnyScan renders the code, decodes that generated output locally, and compares the decoded value with the intended payload. It also checks contrast and quiet-zone guidance. This verifies the current digital output; printers, materials, lighting and scanners can still change the result, so test important physical runs.
- Download formats
- PNG and SVG for a single code; ZIP and CSV reports for batches; PDF for physical label sheets; and combined ZPL or individual ZPL ZIPs for supported Zebra printers.
- Batch limits
- Up to 50,000 rows and 50,000 quantity-expanded labels are validated per browser job. Image ZIP exports run in groups of up to 5,000 codes, and uploads may be up to 10 MB.
- Saved settings
- Batch mappings and label/printer presets can be stored in this browser or exported as JSON. Code values, spreadsheet rows and decoded content are deliberately excluded.
- Offline use
- After a successful online load, AnyScan caches its static app files for later offline use. Browser storage policies may remove cached files; advertising and other external scripts are not required for the tools.
- Where processing happens
- In your browser. Detection, generation, scanning and export all run on your device — the text you encode, the spreadsheets you upload and the values you decode are never sent to a server. The page still loads its own files and, when enabled, advertising from the network; the privacy page sets out exactly what that involves.
